Approved for 1 access to justice in OR, 1 general in FL and TX, 1 law and legal in WA. 1 credit pending in CA. Check your Bar website or our list: https://www.clecast.net/accreditation DESCRIPTION: To protect the most vulnerable members of our society, mandatory child abuse reporting laws establish clear obligations for attorneys and other professionals. This CLE provides essential guidance on how to identify signs of child abuse, whether physical, sexual, mental, emotional, neglect or threats of harm. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of statutory reporting requirements, including definitions that clarify reporting obligations in less obvious situations. This training equips legal professionals with the knowledge and confidence to navigate complex reporting situations and uphold their responsibilities in safeguarding children. For Oregon attorneys, this child abuse reporting CLE will provide the statutory requirements they must follow. Attorneys in other states will benefit from this knowledge in scenarios where they are representing mandatory reporters or have suspicions a child may be abused. You will watch a video, be provided materials, and then fill out a certificate of completion should your state require that. Access to this CLE is available for 180 days following your purchase.
