
California Bar Accreditation Information
California attorneys must complete the following continuing legal education requirements each reporting cycle:
25 CLEs total, including 4 hours of legal ethics, 2 hours of bias elimination (at least 1 hour of this must be implicit bias/bias-reducing strategies), 2 hours of competence, 1 hour of technology, and 1 hour of civility.​

Attorneys are assigned reporting deadlines upon admission to the Bar. Here is the California MCLE Reporting Period Chart to check your reporting cycle dates. Reporting cycles are every 3 years.
