Professional Rules of Conduct Developments for Lawyers, May 2024

Each year, there are new developments in how the Model Rules have been implicated or interpreted. We will cover the following topics: • Credibility • Technology, AI, & the Legal Profession • Oversight of Lawyers and Nonlawyers in the Firm • Witness Preparation • Represented Nonlawyer Client Communications This 30-minute free legal CLE will ensure attorneys are up to date on how these topics have recently been addressed by courts and bar associations. We will cover the following rules: 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.5, 3.3, 3.4, 4.2, 4.4, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 8.4. We will also discuss ABA Formal Opinion 506, ABA Formal Opinion 508, DC Bar Legal Ethics Committee Opinion 385, Mata v. Avianca, and In re Claridge. You will watch a video, be provided materials, and then fill out a certificate of completion should your state require that. Access to this CLE is available for 180 days
