From setting clear objectives during initial meetings to managing client expectations, providing regular updates, and concluding representation professionally, this program equips participants with tools to foster trust and collaboration. Participants will learn to address complex ethical situations with candor, compassion, and competence, ensuring that client relationships are handled with transparency and care. The ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct are discussed in this CLE. Model Rules Covered: • Rule 1.1 (Competence) • Rule 1.2 (Scope of Representation and Allocation of Authority Between Client and Lawyer) • Rule 1.4 (Communication) • Rule 1.13 (Organization as Client) • Rule 1.14 (Clients with Diminished Capacity) By attending this CLE, attorneys will gain confidence in ethically managing client relationships, mitigating potential challenges, and upholding their professional obligations throughout the representation process.
