California MCLE Requirements
For the reporting period ending March 29, 2026, California attorneys must complete:
➤ 25 total MCLE credit hours within the three-year period, including:
12.5 participatory hours
4 hours in legal ethics
2 hours of elimination of bias in the legal profession
At least one of these hours must focus on implicit bias and bias-reducing strategies
2 hours of competence topics
At least one of these hours must focus on prevention and detection
1 hour of technology in the practice of law
1 hour about civility in the legal profession
