California MCLE Requirements
For the reporting period ending March 29, 2026, California attorneys must complete:
25 total MCLE credit hours within the three-year period, including
12.5 participatory hours
4 hours – Legal Ethics
2 hours – Elimination of Bias in the legal profession and society
At least one of these hours must focus on implicit bias and bias-reducing strategies
2 hours – Competence
At least one of these hours must focus on prevention and detection
1 hour – Technology in the practice of law
1 hour – Civility in the legal profession
