Happy New Year from CLEcast! As we step into 2025, we’re excited to continue our mission of making CLEs simple, affordable, and impactful. A big part of that mission is giving back to our communities, and each month, a portion of your CLE purchases supports incredible nonprofit organizations.

For January, we’re proud to partner with two nonprofits doing vital work to support vulnerable populations:

Law for the People

Navigating the legal system can be overwhelming, especially for those without the means to hire an attorney. Law for the People empowers low-income individuals to represent themselves in family law matters by providing legal guidance.

Trafficking Law Center

Survivors of human trafficking often face significant barriers to rebuilding their lives. The Trafficking Law Center provides free legal assistance and resource connections to survivors of sex trafficking. Through direct services, advocacy, and education they work to eliminate systemic and legal barriers so that sex and labor trafficking survivors can access care, housing, employment, and personal and familial stability.

Did you know January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month? Every year since 2010, the President has dedicated the month to raise awareness about human trafficking and to educate the public about how to identify and prevent this crime. This is the perfect month to feature and support the Trafficking Law Center.

Why These Nonprofits?

When deciding which organizations to feature, I look for nonprofits whose missions align with my values. During college, I was the named victim in a sexual assault case, and I witnessed firsthand how overwhelming and difficult navigating the legal system can be. That experience inspired me to attend law school and become a prosecutor, ensuring that victims would have someone in the room who truly understood their perspective and advocated for their voice to be heard. Ensuring the judicial system is accessible to vulnerable populations is deeply important to me.

Both Law for the People and the Trafficking Law Center embody that commitment. These organizations provide essential support and empowering tools to individuals who might otherwise struggle to access justice. Their work addresses systemic challenges in profoundly meaningful ways, ensuring that the legal system serves everyone, not just those with the resources to navigate it.

Supporting these nonprofits is one way we can amplify their incredible efforts and remind the legal community of our shared purpose: creating access to justice for all.

Turning CLEs Into Community Impact

Each CLE you purchase directly supports these organizations because we split our profits with them this month.

By supporting nonprofits like Law for the People and the Trafficking Law Center, we help ensure that vulnerable populations have access to the legal support and resources they deserve. Together, we can turn our dedication to justice into real, tangible impact in our communities.
