Oregon Attorneys: Your MCLE Reporting Deadlines Are Approaching—Here’s What You Need to Know

Oregon attorneys, it’s time to check your CLE requirements! The 2025 reporting deadline is just around the corner, so make sure you have the right credits completed on time.

Key Deadlines for Oregon CLE Requirements

📌 Credits must be completed by: April 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM

📌 Compliance reports must be certified and submitted by: June 2, 2025, at 11:59 PM


Minimum CLE Requirements

Oregon attorneys must complete a set number of continuing legal education (CLE) credits based on their reporting period. Here’s what you need:


📍End of your three-year reporting period: 45 credits total. This must include 5 ethics, 1 abuse reporting, 1 mental health/substance use and 3 access to justice credits.


📍First reporting period after reinstatement: 15 credits. This must include 2 legal ethics and 1 mental health/substance use credit.


📍First reporting period since being admitted: 45 credits. This must include 9 practical skills (4 must be Oregon practice and procedure), 2 legal ethics (1 must be Oregon ethics), 1 mental health/substance use, and a 3-credit introductory access to justice course.
