Washington CLE Requirements: A Comprehensive Guide
If you're an active Washington attorney, you must complete 45 CLE credits every 3 years. This includes:
15 credits of law and legal procedure
6 credits of ethics and professional responsibility, including one specifically about equity
You can carry over up to 15 credits to the next reporting period, two of which can be ethics. For more details, visit the Washington Bar website.
Understanding Your Reporting Date
You must complete your CLEs by December 31st of your compliance year. Remember, you are only allowed to earn 8 credits per day. You’ll report your CLEs by February 1st of the year following your compliance period.
